Pop-up dinners
Supper clubs, chef takeovers, underground tasting menus. Charge per seat without locking guests into Eventbrite.
Avg ticket $35–80
One QR sticker on the door. Guests pay on the spot or in advance — same link, same checkout. Real-time attendee count, no app, no Eventbrite-style ticket fees, and the money lands in your Stripe account the same week.
How it works
Three steps for the guest. Nothing to install, nothing to download.
Set the name, date, price, and capacity. We generate a QR poster you can print or share digitally — the same link works for pre-sale and pay-at-door.
At the door or from anywhere. Card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay in one tap. No app to install, no account to create.
The guest sees a confirmation screen and gets an email receipt. You see the live attendee count and a guest list as the room fills up.
Who it's for
If you've ever asked a guest to e-transfer or said "just pay me when you get here," QROpen is the upgrade.

Why organizers care
Name, date, price, capacity, done. No verification queue, no profile setup, no listing review. We hand you a QR poster you can print or paste into Instagram.
No login screen, no Eventbrite account creation, no app install. Scan, pay, in. At the door, conversion is everything.
Print one sticker. Share the same link in your invite. Capacity stops new sales the moment you sell out. Other tools force you to choose pre-sale or door — we don't.
Pull up the event in your phone browser and see the count, the guest list, and what each person paid. No spreadsheet, no separate scanner app.
How it compares
Eventbrite is built for the marketplace — listings, discovery, brand exposure. QROpen is built for the door — instant setup, frictionless guest pay, no app or account in the way. Pick what matches your event.
| QROpen | Eventbrite Essentials | |
|---|---|---|
| Time to your first ticket sold | Under 60 seconds | 10–15 min (account, profile, verification) |
| Best fit | One-offs or recurring events you already promote | Events that lean on a marketplace for discovery |
| Pay-at-door support | Native — same QR as pre-sale | Add-on; requires the Eventbrite Organizer app |
| Guest needs an account | No | Yes, to complete purchase |
| Payout timing | Stripe schedule (~2 business days) | 5 business days after event ends |
| Refunds + cancellations | One-click in your event page | Multi-step via Eventbrite's refund flow |
| Event discovery / marketplace | Not included — own your channels | Built-in (helpful for some, noise for others) |
| Platform fee | 3% | 2.5% + $0.99 per ticket |
Eventbrite Essentials pricing per their published rates as of writing; Professional and Premium tiers cost more per ticket. Stripe processing (2.9% + $0.30 per charge) applies to both platforms equally.

FAQ
Both, off the same QR. Share the link beforehand and your guest can pay in advance; the same sticker on the door lets walk-ins pay on the spot. Capacity stops new sales when you sell out.
After paying, the guest sees a confirmation screen with a check-mark and the event name. Door staff just glance at the screen — there's no separate scanner app to install. We'll add an optional staff scanner view for larger events in a later release.
Guests use their own cellular data to scan and pay; the venue's Wi-Fi isn't part of the loop. You only need internet on your own phone when you want to check the attendee count.
You set your refund policy when you create the event. Refunds are issued through Stripe in one click from your event page. If you cancel an event, we batch-refund all paid attendees automatically.
Yes. Set a hard capacity per event; ticket sales stop the moment you hit it. Waitlist support is on the roadmap for Q4.
Coming with the first version of the organizer portal. Tier pricing is the most-requested addition; we want to ship it correctly with the rest of the event editor rather than bolt it on now.
Same as the amenities product: Stripe Connect Express. You onboard in about ten minutes, payouts land in your bank account on Stripe's standard schedule (typically two business days). QROpen takes a flat 3% per transaction — no per-ticket fees, no monthly, no minimum.
