QROpen for events is live — pay-at-door ticketing without an app
Today we're opening QROpen up to a second use case: event check-in. Same QR-first loop as our amenities product. One sticker. Pre-sale and door pay off the same link. No app for guests.
We built QROpen for property amenities — saunas, laundry, lockers, doors. The pattern (scan, pay, the device turns on) turned out to map cleanly onto something we kept hearing from event organizers: stop chasing door cash. So today, QROpen also handles event check-in.
What's live
The events landing page at /events lays it all out. You create an event in under 60 seconds (name, date, price, capacity), we hand you a QR poster you can print or paste into Instagram, and the same link works for pre-sale and walk-up door pay. No separate flows. No app for your guests.
Where it fits
If your event needs marketplace discovery — Eventbrite-style listing in a public directory — we're not the tool. Use Eventbrite. We're built for organizers who already have an audience (newsletter, Instagram, word of mouth) and want a faster, cleaner way to collect at the door.
The five wedges we're starting with
- Pop-up dinners and supper clubs
- Community events — markets, BIA festivals, library and church fundraisers
- Meet-ups (tech, founders, hobbyist)
- Drop-in fitness classes
- Workshops (pottery, painting, coffee cupping)
What's coming
Today's launch is the marketing surface. The organizer portal — event creation, ticket inventory, the live attendee count dashboard — ships next quarter. For the first cohort, we set up your events with you on a video call. Personal service while we close the product loop.
